I've written creatively since I was four years old, plus professionally in corporate marketing, public relations and editorial. I've written everything from screenplays to novels to children's books to music. When I get an idea, it tells me how it wants to manifest. So, that's how I write it.
I have three feature scripts complete as well as a pilot and two episodes for a sitcom, with ideas for many more. I generally write light comedy/light drama. When I'm watching a movie or television, I like to be entertained and perhaps learn something, but not be scared out of my mind! My novels fall into the same arena.
I'm currently working on a script/book/one-woman show about caring for my Mom for the last few years. And, I've recently written a short film that is in pre-production. I'll be producing and directing as well.
I've lived in Las Vegas for several years and the sitcom I wrote and two others I have ideas for are based in Las Vegas. It would be nice to film here. I feel the city is underutilized as a setting for quality series and that's what I'm using as a backdrop for much of my writing.
I'd love to get experience working on other people's projects,. There's so much to learn from a variety of productions.
My favorite song I've written would be perfect for a movie soundtrack, something like a Nicholas Sparks movie. If you're making something along that line, let me know!
I'm looking forward to making great friends here on Stage 32 and working together on many projects!
