About Andrzej

I have worked in the film industry for over 40 years as a producer, writer, and cinematographer. It all began in 1976 when I landed my first job in film production, which mainly involved creating fog effects for scenes and wiping down mud from stingers after shooting. In 1983, I completed a rigorous four-year program in the Cinematography and TV Directing Department at the esteemed Polish Film School (PWSFTviT) in Lodz, Poland. That same year, Gary Essert, the director of the International Film Festival in Los Angeles (FILMEX), invited me to the United States to present short films I had shot. Later, while working for EWFP, Inc., an independent LA-based production/distribution company, I participated in raising funds from private investors and produced/co-produced three feature films, GRIM PRAIRIE TALES, GOOD LUCK, and JOE'S ROTTEN WORLD, all of which received critical acclaim and commercial success, and I helped to oversee the theatrical distribution of these films.

I am currently working on a thriller entitled SOUTH OF SUNSET as a writer/director/producer. This unique cloak-and-dagger thriller, which targets a pure entertainment-loving audience, promises to be a refreshing addition to the film industry.

We seek financing to produce a 7-minute Proof of Concept (POC) for SOUTH OF SUNSET. The POC will showcase the film's unique narrative style and, importantly, its strong potential audience appeal, hoping to attract investors to secure the film's entire production.

I own two film companies in Los Angeles: Cineaste Films, Inc. and Andrzej Kamrowski Consulting, LLC.

Unique traits: Former pro volleyball player in Poland. Loves to play beach volleyball.

SOUTH OF SUNSET Budget: $100K - $1M | Thriller It's a tale of a thirty-something suicidal man who has been dumped hard by his girlfriend.  He's trying to cope with his trauma as his life is being interrupted by a desperate Russian lady barging into his Hollywood apartment.  She is on the run from her Russian mobster boyfriend, who's armed and psychotic.   Most of the action occurs in your typical mid-century Hollywood apartment building, with all units overlooking a kidney-shaped pool.   The REAR WINDOW, THE TENANT, and BOUND would be good style references.
