About Engeli

I am a director and screenwriter from Sweden. Educated at the International Theatre School of Jaques Lecoq in Paris, I began my creative career as a dancer and actor. After my time in Paris, I attended film school in Sweden where I fell in love with documentaries. Making documentaries has taken up most of my waking hours for the last three years as I have directed both short format and web-series. Currently I am working on my first feature length documentary while simultaneously writing a screenplay for a short film I am developing and will also be directing. After working so intensively with documentaries for the last three years, mixing it up with fiction is really refreshing. Here at stage 32, I hope to meet other creatives both as collaborators or mentors, and expend my international network.
