Black Vine Network (BVN) is an independent creative collective developing original scripted and unscripted projects. We’re building a writers’ room where passionate storytellers can collaborate, grow, and develop content with future production and pitching in mind. While this is currently an unpaid, volunteer-based opportunity, all participants will receive credited recognition on projects (including IMDb listings) and the chance to be part of a growing creative network. Collaborate with the writers’ room to develop original concepts, pitches, and scripts
Contribute to story development, treatments, and dialogue writing
Participate in virtual evening & weekend sessions (EST time zone)
Optional: Join in-person collaboration sessions on the East Coast (when opportunities arise)
IMDb credit on BVN projects
Hands-on experience in a writers’ room structure
Opportunities to join production days and learn the on-set process
Creative mentorship and peer feedback
A supportive space to build your portfolio and sharpen your voice
Networking opportunities with other emerging creatives
Must be a creative writer or have a strong interest in creative writing (screenwriting, fiction, or similar background preferred)
Based on the East Coast (EST preferred) or willing to work on an EST-aligned schedule
Comfortable with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Google Docs, ClickUp, etc.)
Available most evenings and weekends
Open to feedback and collaborative storytelling
No prior professional experience required — we welcome emerging voices
This is a volunteer opportunity only. There is no pay, stipend, or employment relationship at this time. All team members, including leadership, are currently contributing on a volunteer basis as BVN develops its slate of projects.
As BVN continues to grow and secure partnerships and funding, there may be opportunities for paid positions or contracted work in the future. Any such opportunities will be discussed transparently with the team when they arise.
