CASTING: "THE WHISPER" — Pilot of an 8-Episode Supernatural Horror Limited Series

Juntos Unidos Productions is now casting the pilot episode of THE WHISPER, a grounded supernatural horror limited series created, written, and directed by Bruno Campos. Comparable in tone to The Exorcist, Hereditary, and True Detective Season 1. Contemporary Los Angeles, Latino/Mexican-American cultural context, bilingual dialogue where natural.

Salvador Montoya is a struggling Latino screenwriter clawing at one last shot — and the voice in his head he's heard since childhood finally answers back. The pact costs three souls. His own will be the last.

SHOOT DATES: October 1–14, 2026 (Los Angeles)
PROJECT SCALE: 8-episode Season 1. The pilot is being shopped for sale. If the pilot performs, the series is expected to be greenlit for the remaining 7 episodes with compensation at that point.

COMPENSATION: Copy, credit, and meals for the pilot. Possible compensation at the end of filming if the show sells. Cast members booked on the pilot will be first in line to finish the season.

ROLES AVAILABLE

Note: Salvador Montoya (lead) is already cast.

MAZORATH — Ancient, non-human presence. Non-fixed form. Manipulation, not force. Voice-over and physical performance. All ethnicities, all gender identities, unique physicality a plus.

ISABELLA MONTOYA — Latina female, 12. Salvador's daughter. Intuitive, emotionally grounded, the heart of the series. Young performer with real presence required.

VERONICA REYES — Latina female, late 30s–40s. Salvador's ex-wife. Cold, corporate, cartel-family background. Not a villain — a woman who stopped trusting him.

DIEGO LOPEZ — Latino male, 30s–40s. Veronica's new boyfriend. Likable, charismatic, unaware he's in danger.

JESUS RIVERA — Latino male, 25–35. LAPD detective. Closeted. Rigid moralist investigating events he can't rationalize. Significant arc across the series. Includes a sparring scene — some boxing skill required.

JULIAN GARCIA — Latino male, 25–35. Series regular.

Additional supporting and day-player roles are also being cast — including Young Salvador (8), Eli Cohen, Ramiro, Linda, Gym Owner, Barista, and a voice-only role. Submit with your preferred role or mark "Other / Open" and we'll consider you across the board.
