Lola Atkins is a Director, Screenwriter and Producer.
A multitalented Award-Winning filmmaker born and raised in Hackney, London. In 2003, her directorial debut was the award-winning 'HUSH', screened at the Short Film Corner in Festival De Cannes, and The BFM International Film Festival (Won - Best Short Film). Her award-winning production house EWAV WORKS has produced several productions short psycho-thriller 'Stalker', animation 'Being Red, short thriller 'Bind Us Together' and the documentary 'Citizens Today'. After a long hiatus from filmmaking to spend time with her family, she returned with 'her directorial feature film debut 'Purple Beatz', scheduled for global release in October 2022, and is developing her next feature psychological thriller 'ENTROPY.
Beginning her filmmaking career, she launched her own production house, 'EWAV WORKS', writing, directing and producing short films. She also delivered Animation and Film Production training workshops to schools, colleges, and juvenile offenders in prisons.
She majored in Microbiology and Immunology at King's College, London. While working within the pharmaceutical industry, in 2002 she teamed up with the Producer/Co-Founder of the newly established SKY TV broadcast channel 'BABETV', developed/produced new content and worked within the Camera department for the broadcaster.
