About Jane

Jane wrote the feature film screenplay, SACAJAWEA, The Windcatcher (formerly, Windcatcher: The Story of Sacajawea), an epic movie based on the life of Sacajawea, inspired by the journals of the Lewis & Clark Expedition -- currently in Development (she is also writing a novel with the same title). This historical adventure project is a unique opportunity for filmmakers, as Sacajawea is a well-known character of history, yet her life has never been portrayed in a feature film. Through this woman's eyes we see the Lewis and Clark journey from a new perspective. The script has WON multiple awards and been selected as a NOMINEE at many film festivals worldwide. All wins and nominations are listed in this profile.

Jane has written a family-centered spec script, entitled, "Kimama's Wings." She's also completed the treatment for "Pomp," a mini-series based on Sacajawea's son, Jean Baptiste Charbonneau. She has published the children's book, "The Grass Maiden, Sacajawea," and completed the children's chapter book "Crabtree: Lost Kids of Borealonon" which is being developed for film. In addition, she created the children's anime series Moon Drake, and she wrote five of the twelve episodes, one of which was awarded Best in Festival by South Shore Film Festival in 2023.
