About JZ

An Imagineer, a Scenarist, a Writer of Drama, Horror, Comedy, Speculative Fiction, Science Fiction, Non-Fiction and the Technical (I have also been a Senior Technical Writer on high end IT teams).
My short film "Pvt. Ravel's Bolero" (2022), a filmic poem and antiwar documentary, has won over 165 international Film Festival Official Selections and (more) winning Laurels. It has won Best Arthouse Documentary, Best Experimental Film and Best Short Documentary.
My 1970s-era True Crime/Biopic screenplay, "The Teenage Bodyguard", has won several awards now and we've had several directors interested (with producer in Robert Mitas who has frequently worked with Michael Douglas). I'm still seeking the right director until I find one who sees what I see in the story, in It not a "teen romp", since it's more of a serious film with some light parts. Not the other way around.
I'm now researching my new documentary which is going to take a lot of work, even more so than the "Bolero" film with was in the works over a period of years.
I worked with Italy's soundtrack composer/musician Andrea Fioravanti (Best Score - Cult Jury Film Festival 2023) on my film nor short, "Gumdrop", a short horror (2020). It has won sixteen film festival laurels as Best Film Noir and Best Horror/Thriller.
The future is promising!

It was ten years before I saw elements in this story in feature films. I'm looking at this now as a miniseries or a three movie set. First script might be earth side, second other planet side, third, final war and resolution. This is on hold as I am currently too busy with other projects.
