Filmmaker, Kevin Callies was born and raised in Oklahoma City and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Media Arts. The first feature that he produced and edited, THE A-LIST, was released the summer of 2015 domestically on DVD, VOD, and Netflix through Freestyle Digital Media. Post-production was completed at Skywalker Sound and Light Iron.
A feature script he wrote was a finalist in the 2015 Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Out of 8,627 submissions, it was in the top .05% and is one of only five scripts in its category.
He has also written, produced, and directed four shorts films that have screened in over thirty-five film festivals worldwide, garnering fourteen nominations and three awards. His family short, THE MAN IN THE RED SUIT, received global distribution on iTunes and ShortsTV through SHORTS International.
