About Lawrence

I graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada, performed with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival of Canada and starred as Detective Dave Quinn in The Canadian Police Series "The Collaborators," seen world-wide.
I am currently an improv artist and actor in Los Angeles. As an editor, I cut trailers for Disney for two years, and specialize in creating actor's reels as well as directors of photography. I am an Apple Certified Editor/Trainer.
My first book was published by Focal Press, The Video Demo Tape - How to Save Money Making a Tape that Gets You Work and a second book, "How to Shoot Better Camcorder Videos - Help from the Hollywood Pros" is available on , Barnes & Noble, etc.
As a screenwriter, I have one series pilot in development, a finished screenplay ready to produce, and a number of treatments waiting for me to find the time to get to them :) A book on my acting technique will be forthcoming.
I am currently giving Seminars at SAG in Los Angeles, attended by SAG members who would like to learn to edit their reels on the various popular editing applications and am also able to give very precise insight into what casting expects to see on an actor's reel (as well as what they don't want to see :) I am editing reels on a daily basis, love doing it, and am available to work on your reel no matter where you live.
A feature film I edited, "Forgiving the Franklins," became a Sundance Selection in 2006. Oh, a favorite occupation of mine is one-on-one, or class, instruction for filmmakers cutting on the latest editing systems. Just can't seem to get enough of this industry!

Unique traits: Ear for dialects, infinite patience, never experienced writer's block :)
