This past weekend I officially completed one of my 2024 goals to read 12 books this year! I finished strong by completing Rachel Gillig's Shepherd King Duology. I truly can't recommend these books more! They're fun, propulsive, gripping gothic fantasy reads with a truly unique magic system and just enough spicy enemies to lovers romantasy thrown in. I devoured both books in a week and would have finished them faster if I wasn't also working and traveling at the same time. I honestly can't wait to read them again.
