Rafael, We seem to have about the same level of experience. My philos is charge what makes you feel ok. I charge anywhere from 300-500 for 8 hours depending on the budget for the project, including studio time and equipment rental. Top editors make over 1,000 a day, and they often have assistants. 36 bucks an hour is very low and means nothing to a real ACE etc. When minimum wage is getting up to $12-15 and hour all off our rates to be be going up not down now. If they spend a ton of money on that wedding, the expense for editing their video needs to be kept real too, unless it's a friend and you can afford to help them out.
