Hi, I'm Jennie Fahn, writer and director of BREAK, a short film in pre-production (shooting in April). In the film collective I belong to, We Make Movies, "make the movie you want to see" is one of the values we hold dear. BREAK embodies that value. It portrays Tracy, a woman in a dead-end job, with a demoralizing boss, who seeks asylum in the ladies' room - where she begins to receive cryptic notes from the universe. My cast and crew is diverse and predominantly female; we all know Hollywood needs change - I believe in being that change, not just talking about it.
