Most creators think they’re stuck because they don’t have funding.
But the real friction usually comes from not answering three upstream financial questions:
1. What is the project for — and what job is the funding supposed to do?
(Development, production, post, working capital, etc.)
2. What is the asset the investor or lender is actually backing?
(IP, deliverables, collateral, revenue potential)
3. What is the repayment or return mechanism?
(Revenue share, recoupment waterfall, collateral release)
When these three answers are clean, funding conversations become far easier — and far more professional.
Curious how others here define these for their own projects.
