Video and film production has always been a childhood dream for me. I have always visualized myself as a film producer and director and very much wanted to pursue a university degree in film production or Theatre Arts. But when I eventually studied something else I still maintained my interest in film production and carried on with apprentice work with film and video production companies. To become the largest reality television and radio production company in Nigeria with a solid reputation for excellent ideas and highest quality services!” In the year 2012, I was among the Awardees of the Fed. Govt Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria tagged YouWIN! for an oustanding Media Business Proposal Plan. It's a stepping stone for me. New Qamar has debuted as an innovative development communications outfit with a specialization in using electronic and print medium to create awareness, share knowledge and document events and activities. It uses the power of new wave digital technology to pass on useful messages on development issues such as water and sanitation, maternal health, child mortality and morbidity, citizens’ participation in governance, accountability, poverty and others to millions of audiences. We produce reality type television and radio programmes on such development issues, capture events and produce captivating print and electronic documentaries and jingles. All these are preceded by extensive research and surveys to establish facts and trends. In 2011 we produced two game shows on water and sanitation (it’s called the wash challenge), one for television and the other on radio. We have also produced documentaries (video and print) and assorted jingles. I am currently working on a Feature Film based in Nigeria/Africa.
