Making your scripts medically accurate

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site. I've done some freelancing in the past helping some friends out by reviewing some parts of their scripts and the scenes being shot that involved heavy usage of medical equipment, vocabulary, procedures, etc... and it was a great experience. I have been a nurse for over 20 years and have worked 10 years in Neuro-surgical ICU. I have a vast knowledge of information, both clinically and involving interactions with patients and families, funny and dramatic. I am willing to offer what I know medically to help those that are pursuing film and trying to make a go of it. If any connections can open up for me, that would be wonderful. At the very least, I would find it interesting and enjoyable, which is why I'm offering to do this at no charge, or for a nominal fee, depending on how much work is involved. If I can't help provide the answers on the newest infectious organism out there, or the legal challenges in the medical world, I can certainly point you in the right direction. The best to you all :) Amy Altobelli, RN
