The presentations this time are:

Nick Arthurs BFE – BAFTA-winning editor and director, with credits including The Witcher, His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches and The Alienist. Nick's work demonstrates how editorial decisions shape narrative, character and audience engagement. Discover the power of the edit from one of the industry's most respected storytellers.     

Karo Jędrzejczyk MPSE AMPS – Foley Artist & Supervisor and Head of Foley at Sound Disposition. With credits including Disney+'s Alice and Steve, BBC's Death in Paradise and the Cannes-premiered Victorian Psycho, Karo will discuss the creative and technical craft of Foley and its impact on storytelling, while utilising a suitcase full of props. 

Andrew Wilson AMPS CAS – BAFTA, RTS and Emmy-nominated Re-Recording Mixer, whose portfolio includes Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Monkey Kingdom and Royal Mob. Andrew brings decades of experience in creating immersive soundtracks for internationally recognised productions. This session will demonstrate how a great sound design and sound mix transforms a good film into a memorable one.                  

This Let’s Make Films – Speakers Night is about getting real insight from people building it now, plus networking and pitches with creatives ready to collaborate.

There will be a guestlist for the event. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.

About the group

Let's Make Films is a London-based filmmaking group founded in October 2022 by Robin Brooks, Gavin Saville and Andrew Fineberg. We plan to run regular events that will appeal to people from all levels and disciplines across the film production process, from pre-production to exhibition. Our aim is to support and encourage people to make films with good practice, through a variety of activities including: speed networking, pitching, screenings, film challenges, internal film festivals, cast and crew breakout groups, taster session talks and demos, workshops, masterclasses and more...
