Philip was born in Munich, Germany to a German father and a Czech mother. His mother grew up in the socialist Czech Republic and managed to flee to Germany when she was young. As a result he grew up speaking both German and Czech at home, developing an affinity for languages. The love for English as a language and a love for movies led him to hone his craft as an actor at the William Esper Studio in New York City where he now lives. Philip enjoys working on himself, not only as an artist, but also as a martial artist. After having done Kung Fu for 10 years in Munich, he has recently picked up some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA.
