Your Stage : The making of a crossover Indie foreign film. by Stuart Land

I'm finally getting a breath to check in here at Stage 32 to yak about my Indie film project I'm doing where I live in Thailand. It's a crossover Thai ghost story with all Thai actors and an international crew from six countries so far. It's not a slasher movie, or a one location movie, but a supernatural thriller. What I mean about being a crossover film is that although it's a Thai ghost story in essence, it's written with a Western structure and story sensibilities that will appeal to multiple cultures. We're in the casting stage now. Next we'll be making the trailer to use for a crowdfunding campaign to shoot the entire feature. We're still looking for some key crew if anyone wants a working vacation in Thailand: SFX makeup; visual FX. This is a chance for a visual FX person to go all out creating something they design within the parameters of what we need for a truly scary ghost transformation. For the trailer, we'll need one or two super transformation effects. We can pay something, but not standard rates. Better rates would come later with the crowdfunding. Naturally, the visual FX person doesn't need to come here. For casting, We're still auditioning for the two main leads, male and female in early twenties. Must be Thai or half-Thai, but look Thai, and speak fluent Thai with no foreign accent. The female role carries the entire film, so this is a break-out role.
