How do you go about getting representation from an agent or manager if you are a new screenwriter? I've written 3 scripts and one is a prelude to a television series. I've written at least the pilot and 3 scripts for that.
Check out the opportunities here in the Happy Writers tab (upper right) as a way of refining your screenwriting or writing for television. Enter your scripts in the major competitions (the Academy's Nicholl Fellowships are the gold standard http://www.oscars.org/nicholl) -- if you even make the semifinals of some of these, that's a feather some agents will notice. And see the state where you live has a Film Board -- sometimes called a Film Office of Film Commission -- that sponsors screenwriting competitions.
