Introduce Yourself : An Introduction... by Tony Moschetto

I think introducing one's self is challenging in the sense that there's an art to it, a certain kind of confidence has to be evident in the opening line. The right words have to be chosen, meticulously, perfectly and succinctly. That being said, hello, I'm Tony Moschetto. I consider myself somewhat between a "small town girl" and a "city boy". I was raised in a small sea side town where I never fished or got into boating. The big city was where I wanted to be, where the action was but I didn't like the noise so I returned to the sea side town and became a life guard at the local water slide. The cool thing is I didn't need to be an actual life guard as the water slide was considered an amusement ride. (It was part of Shaheen's Fun Park) The real life guards used to drive by and flip us off and yell obscenities. Ha! Where are they now? Fast forward a bunch of years to this introduction. Since my life guarding days at the water slide, I went to and graduated from college. After college I spent a bunch of years dedicated to becoming a great tennis player. When that fizzled I got into stand up comedy. Out of stand up so began my writing career. And, I've never looked back. I've written a couple of half hour spec scripts and will be working on a third soon. My goal for the upcoming year is to add a couple of pilot specs to the portfolio as well as another feature. Basically, a lot of writing. And, hoping to connect with some of you.
