Hello dear stage32 community, I am a composer, because back then I was thinking the consequence of "I love film and I love music" was to become a film composer (and nothing wrong with it), but right now I am very interested in knowing (and learning) as much as I can in the fields that touch my working area as a composer. So, I think, film editing and especially music editing could be something I would really enjoy and could learn a lot for my film understanding. Are there any good articles who people talk about it? Did you start out when editing your own films (because you had to) or did you slice movies you liked and put different "temp" music on it? And if you think I have a completely different opinion about your job, than tell me, please. :-) What programs do you use for that in general? Probably Pro Tools when being an music editor?! Thanks for your input. Johannes

Ok, thank you Kathryn - I will reach out to her. Did you know John Ottman is an editor and composer himself. I met him last year in LA and Cologne and this story is quite uniqe. - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0653211/?ref_=nv_sr_1
