Screenwriting : Software by Shrirang Nargund

Software

celtx has stopped supporting desktop classic version and now you have to go online which I don't want to. am looking for similar free screenwriting software that will be available offline and output can be saved/converted in word/PDF. any suggestions?

I haven't used this but a girl in one of my classes recommended this for free: http://www.awn.com/blog/how-turn-microsoft-word-terrific-screenwriting-p... Please let us know if it's any good if you try it...

Shrirang, I have been using Celtx (V 2.9.1) since the last six months or so. I typically work offline, to be in more focus, and be online to get PDFs for reviews. I work on Word for another delivery, and I tried overwriting it to Celtx. That works fine too. You might want to follow my model. Good luck!

Mr. KK, I also have 2.9.7 and was working fine until they stopped supporting all offline versions and released online version. now if you go for pdf conversion, it just converts title page. if you try to open the celtx file in online version, it doesn't open. that's why am fed-up and want to go for another software. otherwise celtx was fine.

@peter, yet to setup and try but seems to be interesting.
