My sci-fi/apocalypse script was just requested by the selling machine Brooklyn Weaver and his Energy Ent. But this comes to prove another theory of mine - the over-importance of the logline. About an year ago I pitched the same company in a blind query mail with just the logline in it. It was a pass! But now with the same logline, but followed by the synopsis it's a request. Sometimes a logline just can't describe a project, no matter how hard you try, full stop!
Wish you the best my friend.
Awesome sauce! Persistence is key! It took seven years for Mad Men to be sold. Keep the momentum going!
Congratulations, Ivo! Good luck on the read!
Ivo - I agree - if the logline interests them, they'll read a few paragraphs of a synopsis, and that will help your pitch.
