New Entertainment Show Host

Hello All I just started working on a new entertainment television show that will air on a local community television network. It would be great to network and get some sound advice on putting together a great show layout. As of today, I have an artist management company with 2 artists (musicians) signed and I founded BLAQUELINE Entertainment Magazine, which is a resource for music, news and entertainment. We would love to feature members of Stage 32 in the magazine. In the past we have featured many celebrities and public figures. Stage 32 seems like a great place to meet others that enjoy media and networking. I am looking forward to connecting and learning more about the entertainment industry. Entertainment is a wide field. Could you be more specific? Are you the one who decides which topics, acts and guests the show will have?

Debbie Croysdale

Also which local community will it be? Someone near where you live may have a previous unreported gem of a story etc, or may be able to assist technically.

Tori Stallion

Hello Elisabeth, Yes I decide on all topics and guests. The network is through Channel Austin and I will also go on-site to interview musicians that come to the area for concerts. Its sort of like how the old TRL show used to be. I will report on music, news and entertainment. But I want to make sure I keep the viewers attention. We will also have in-studio guests.

Hello Kathryn....

Tori Stallion

I have searched on S32 for a crew in the area, but no response as of today.

Elisabeth Meier

I would search for interesting people in your area. They all have a story to tell. Look for older people who are/were related to stage/film/entertainment or famous people who were born there or people who made something special etc. Keep it simple in the beginning and interact with your viewers.

Debbie Croysdale

Elizabeth is right about interacting with viewers. A couple of long term shows (general not just show biz) in uk that spring to mind are Richard n Judy, and Loose Women. Fans tune in because "they feel part of it" as opposed to some programmes which showcase people/places far removed from audiences grasp.

Welcome, Tori! Great post. I have experience creating shows with radio stations that advertise on local tv. I could help with your show layout.

Tori Stallion

Thank you all so very much. Shawn I would truly appreciate your help with the show layout.
