Introduce Yourself : Jennifer Wooleyhand--Writer/Screenwriter/Blurbologist by Jennifer S. Wooleyhand

Hi, I'm Jennifer, recently retired from a 25 -year career in writing/ad and graphic design/media for a very busy and visible government agency in Delaware, while shamelessly moonlighting as a freelance journalist. Last year, answering the call of true (and destined) passions, I wrote and submitted my first short screenplay. The feedback I received was wonderful--inspirational and validating. I knew it was good; I felt all the connecting vibrations, the excitement of discovering exactly what I wanted--was meant--to do, but to hear such glowing praise from an expert panel was the impetus, the prod I needed. So, I retired from the creative ball-and-chain day job to focus on screenwriting. I'm currently working on a feature-length comedy, and even as my own worst critic, I know it's potential is mighty (I must look mad, typing away and periodically giggling between sips of cold coffee). I'm juggling two other niggling comedic prospects, as well. I admit, writing without a deadline is confusing to me, but I'm driven on excitement and hope alone. I have to say that I'm sincerely grateful to Stage 32 for its existence, giving us all the opportunity to share our dreams and skills, like this. It's not something everyone appreciates, this passion--I'm just enjoying the knowledge that I'm writing this for people who GET IT. :) Good luck to us all!
