Hi guys! Just wanted to say hello and give an thumbs up to Stage32 and Happy Writers, esp. You have to be persistent. I wrote 8 books, before my 8th became my first published one. I was able to go back and revise 4 of the 7....and amazed at how immature my writing had been then and how I had grown. I continue to grow and take classes - a lot from Stage32 - and now have published over 30 books and numerous awards, options and some productions for my scripts. I also teach now, too. You can check out more about me at www.seritastevens.com As a result of Stage32 I have met some wonderful people - both execs and other writers who I am in constant contact with. Even with an agent and manager, there is no excuse for not networking. One has to continue to be pro-active in one's career. We are responsible for our own careers. Don't leave it to someone else. Congratulations on all your accomplishments, Serita, forensic nurse being perhaps the most impressive! I'm currently working on about the fourth rewrite of my first thriller and find myself asking sordid postmortem questions I never thought sweet character-driven indie guy me would ever have.
