New Jersey born Richard Ruskin began his acting career in Los Angeles after traveling for a year with a performing arts troupe. This followed finishing up his training at Rutgers University Mason Gross School of the Performing Arts and Ithaca University. He got his start working in everything from independent and mainstream productions to appearing on “Days of Our Lives.” During this time, he started working as a computer consultant and later became a private pilot and pilot instructor. But, eventually, he got a touch of wanderlust, which led him to leave the acting world and head to the wilderness of Alaska. There, he hosted a local radio talk show and managed a restaurant. Next, the business world drew him away from the cold to the Sunshine State. In Florida, this Renaissance man watched his acting career blossom and he began booking one project after another. He recently was awarded best actor for his role in “The Interview.” When not acting, Ruskin enjoys SCUBA diving.
