Hi Sharon! Film financing is always challenging, but there is tons of help out there, especially for crowdfunding independent films. Your project sounds powerful, and I'm sure you can do it!
Thanks Dane. I tried crowd funding but didn't achieve target. I have Bobby Ball in the lead role and so hoping that may give funders more confidence in the film
Hi Sharon Engage with communities and support group that focus on this disease. There are meetups, facebook groups etc where people get together to discuss the disease and its effect on people and families. These are the people that will be your audience and supporters. Engage with them now and build up a relationship. Tell them about your movie, ask for their stories and experience. Then set up a crowd funding campaign and ask for these people's help. This is your audience, these are your supporters. $5 off each person for a copy of your movie and you are funded.
Welcome to my world Sharon. At least you have your film casted and crewed (I am not sure if that is even a word). Getting funding always seems difficult, but good luck to you, and please keep us all posted with the progress.

Some great tips Craig. It's such an emotive subject and I would not want people that think that I was taking advantage of their grief to gather funding. I will certainly look into your suggestions though
