#WhyIWrite (trending on twitter!)

We love that #WhyIWrite = trending on twitter right now! FINALLY a trending topic we can stand behind! #Creatives: Good luck to one and all! #Fortitude So...here's the question...why do you write? :)

Stephen Barber

Because I've read what others have written, and have been inspired to be a better man because of it.

Marci McGuinness

I have been writing since I picked up a pencil at six years old. I am driven and can not help it!

John Michael German
WhyIWrite - To inspire. To pay homage to people through writings, whether present on this earth or in heaven. I believe writing is not only therapeutic to a degree to the writer them self, but also to those directly or indirectly affected by the writing - even the reader or audience. Writing, of any kind, can transport people to a different world or place - taking them out of their own lives, good or bad, to engulf themselves in a story, even if only briefly or temporarily. I think writing has more of an impact on peoples lives than they realize, literature or visual wise. To be able to even have a chance, no matter how slim or grim the chances of it ever making it to the main stream, is something truly special.

It soothes my soul. I NEED to write. I NEED to create. If I'm not doing that, then I'm dying.

Simon A. Kristiansen

I like this trend, just posted my first one on Twitter right now "To set my imagination free from the confines of my mind and let it out to the world"

We write...because we have to. We don't really feel like we have a choice in the matter. There's too much going on in our brains not to write about and there's too much stuff going on that needs to be written about that gets neglected. In other words: to get the imaginary fiends out of our heads. Haha We like this quote by Kafka!

Thanks for sharing all of your stories, everyone! it's nice to see

CJ Walley

I write because no drug, no glory, nor no payment can make me feel as fulfilled.

David Levy

I write because I love how it can bring smiles to others. I enjoy visualizing the worlds I am putting down on paper or typing onto the screen. To see them come to life some day that can make an impact on someones life. I love to write and at some point hope others notice and want to assist me in bringing my words to life. My problem is I want to do more than I can handle. So much to write! Writing is the only viable way I can truly tell my thoughts.

Debbie Croysdale

Thinking of the words to All Along the Watchtower.....It's A Way Outa Here. I share similar views to CJ on why I write, it's an unseen fulfilment beyond monetary or social standing.

Jean-Pierre Chapoteau

I write because I like the thought of my work playing out on screen, even if it usually only plays out in my head.

Niksa Maric

I can't get rid off the urge to write.

Here's something to motivate you, Boomer.
