Please help me try to gauge the strength of these two premises? (I have written them and am about to embark on a page one rewrite on both, but would love to know if they spark your interest.) *"When a small town pastor’s one-time love turned risqué reality star whirls back into his life, he risks his legacy by joining the cast of her reality show in hopes of winning her back." *"Publicly challenged by her jealous rival, a preeminent career coach must protect her reputation by finding a mysterious homeless man an occupation using his hidden talents." Thank you!
The first sparked my interest, sounds fun and a bit of a wild card. Can visualise some key dramatic moments, and conflicts, with these opposites in the dynamics. The second felt a tad vague, because nothing is known of the man, or of his special skills. I understand he is a mystery man, but small seeds could be planted to kindle more intrigue in him, together with what's at stake if he doesn't gain employment. I realise protagonist will lose face in public, from jealous rival, if he doesn't make the grade.....but I would make stakes higher. It's a great idea, and I'm not picking at the theme, but I found the log line less spicy than the first. (Your question was which one interests.)
