Greetings to all that read this post and thank you! I am a recent graduate of film school here in Chicago and I've been around the block a few times. I am an aspiring filmmaker who just simply loves the creative process. I started off in this field as an assistant editor for projects ranging in size and budget, then as an Assistant Director, but then I got bit by the directing bug when in graduate school I had an assignment where I had to write and direct a short film. It's entitled "The Past You Can't Escape" : https://vimeo.com/42178491. I went on to try and learn everything I could about the production process and even earned a Masters in Cinema Production. I have for the last 5 years volunteered and worked for film festivals such as Sundance (3 years Volunteer and 2 years staff), SXSW, Tribeca (Staff), Chicago International (Operations Intern, Staff), and Mill Valley Film Festival (Operations Assistant Staff). I love the festivals and to see what filmmakers are creating and bringing to the table. The new thinking and such. I myself want to bring my creations to the table. I wrote a screenplay and made it to the second round of the Sundance Screenwriters Lab this year and am waiting to see if I actually made it in. First time writing a feature length screenplay (hard work indeed). I am now just looking to connect with anyone who could use some hands, brain power, or strength to create something wonderful. I have a unique story and just trying to pay my dues until it is my turn at bat. I done sold the house and am now heading out west! In transit stopping in Utah to work Sundance again, and if you are there, say hello if and when you see me!
