Hi everyone, I thought I'd share my recent experience composing a film that I applied for through stage 32. It is a Russian film called Dragon that had it's official release today. It was directed by Indar Dzhendubaev and was produced by Igor Tsay and Timur Bekmambetov who is currently directing the big budget Ben-Hur movie. It's a great story with a talented cast and the visual effects are stunning. The whole experience has been truly amazing right from the very beginning when I sent off my demo score to pitch for the job right up until the premier in Moscow last week where I got watch the film in iMax 3D in the company of the rest of the cast and crew. I had some really positive feedback about the score after the screening too. The team I have worked with have been great especially fellow stage 32 member Eldar Tagi who was music supervisor and additional music composer on the film. His professionalism, guidance and commitment was second to none and I would advise anyone who is looking for a music supervisor to give him a message. He helped make everything run very smoothly throughout. Here is the trailer with english subtitles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNQEy-c2CwU It was many weeks of very long hours and sacrifice but it has been a privilege to have been part of such a great journey that started for me right here on Stage 32, Simon
