Hi, Everyone. My name is Jonathan Vargas! I am an up and coming filmmaker from South Florida. I wanted to share the new short that I did for the 305 film competition called "Flying To Disney World" Please give it a watch and tell me what did you think...Thank you...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emfFXNSaKUk
Hi Jonathan, This is great! Welcome aboard! Dayna
Very funny, Jonathan. Good acting, effects, writing and a "what the fu..? ending. Lol. Welcome and congrats, brother.
Hey man, I'm Costin. Just letting you know what I think about your short. I'm not a professional filmmaker. No film school, nothing. I have no idea if I'm right or wrong. I just like movies and I go by what i feel, I've done my own short, currently submitting it. So... here goes: 1. You are writing, directing and editing this... you are talented! 2. It actually made me smile and giggle. (I've seen stuff on tv that made me sick instead of laugh) 3. Good acting. 4. Realistic dialogue. (I mean it doesn't feel forced to me) 5. 90% very good sound (first scene, I'm sure you know about it, it's somewhat distorted, but I'm confident after hearing the rest of the short that it shouldn't be something you can't take care of. I'm guessing you did the sound too- record + mix?) 6. Overall nice shots, my opinion. Was it a shoulder rig you used later in the shots? If yes.. I would have loved to see more of it in the first scenes. But that's just me. Also good cuts. 7. I like the ending. Just my first thoughts. I'm reminding you I am a complete amateur that just loves movies! Keep up the good work!

Hi, Costin! Thanks for the review! The audio, what happened was in one scene I was recording audio on my tascam and I had no choice but to use the audio on from my camera. I could ADR it, but this was part of a competition, so I didn't have time to fix it. But Glad you liked it.

and yes I did for all the outside scenes. I'll be honest, Not a fan of hand-held dialogue scenes as it's a distraction for me and since I lost my slider head. I couldn't use any dolly shots for the shoot.
