Okay, coming clean here. I've been here at Stage 32 almost a year, and I don't really have a commitment to screenwriting; it's been only a "good idea." In the past ten years or so, I've spent lots of money on instruction, coverage reports, and books, won $200 in two competitions, hosted a private table read in L.A., and I don't think it's my natural creative expression. SO WHAT IS MY NATURAL CREATIVE EXPRESSION? From 1977 to 1990 I was a prolific songwriter (after being a folksinger/guitarist since '62). Now less prolific, I"m still writing and singing. I released my first albums of originals (on cassette) in 1985 and 1990, then my fIrst CD in 2009: I FORGAVE MYSELF, and Other Songs of Awakening. Last year, at the urging of my wife Susan (whose career as "The Space Lady" I manage), I started touring the USA, the UK and Europe, as her opening act. This year I plan to release an LP of ten more original songs. I'd love to connect with other songwriter(/singer)s who compose songs of genuine love (not attachment), kindness, transformation, and awakening. I don't care to score a movie, but I'd love to have some of my songs become part of one or more. Here's one from my CD that I recently performed in Valencia, Spain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Qvj_B_FXPk Here is a short clip from a gig in Pueblo, CO. One or more of these will go on the new LP, "Songs from a Man's Heart." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHOVPiHz2pE
Screenwriting, song writing - it's all creative writing, right? I feel that as long as you're writing you have a story to tell, and as long as you have a story, you keep on creating. Cheers, T. P.S. What is this thing "cold war"?
