Play About the Homeless

Greetings! If anyone knows of a theater that might be interested in staging a show about the plight of the homeless (and perhaps use it as a benefit show to raise funds for the homeless) I have a full-length play titled "Feed Us To The Woods," that received a staged reading in Harrisburg, PA in 2012 (and helped to raise awareness of the issue) - and I'd would be willing to allow it to be staged without any financial rewards for myself. The play is based on a true story about a group of homeless who are forced by city officials to relocate their encampment away from city limits, and it merges reality with fantasy (it even has a wood nymph as a character, and living Hemlock trees). Let me know if you know of anyone with interest. Thanks!

I would love to if you don't mind trying a show run of it here in Philadelphia

Hey Allen! Yeah, I'd be interested in a Philly run ... what are you proposing? Do you have a particular theater/venue in mind, or any strong connections in the Philly theater community? And, of course, I'm looking for someone who'd be willing to pick up the ball and run with it, because I wouldn't be able to be in Philly for casting/rehearsals, etc. Let me know your thoughts first, and then I will gladly send the play to see if you're interested.

Good luck with with the play "feed us to the woods" important message...I did some writing in the past for my blog with the same theme short stories with reality, humor and humanity...all the best.

Thanks, Dave!

Yes me I can help with picking up the ball and running with it and yes I do have two theaters in mind for the production. Also I have friends and myself that can make sure casting goes well and is divers as much as possible.
