Introduce Yourself : Hey by Jamie K. Kennedy

Hello to all! I'm Jamie K. Kennedy, I write screenplays and recently crowdfunded a new short that I wrote and directed "Voice for the Lonely". It is currently being submitted to film fests all over the country. Few years ago when I finished my first feature script "La to LA", I was young and excited so I took it to Hollywood to pitch to anyone and everyone that would listen. I went door to door trying to tell someone of my ideas and what I bring to the table. After multiple NO's I developed some tough skin and decided to rethink my tactic. I went back home to Austin and took some classes and decided to continue to write and make a couple of short films. I write films that all walks of life can relate to, I like to channel some of my own heartache into my characters and flip the scenario while still channeling the same emotion. When you read or watch one of my films I want you to self reflect and feel a sense of positivity. With every project I do I owe it to myself to learn from my mistakes and grow from them to apply to the next. I will continue on this path and hope to collaborate with others along the way.
