Your Stage : My Job Posting. by George Pierson

My Job Posting.

There is still plenty of time to take a look at my job posting for my story. Just to give you all an example of the things that inspired me for my story, take a look at the music video from Train called "Calling all Angels". While this is a novel, listen to the song and imagine hearing this song while watching the scene where there is a massive search and rescue efffort going on. Imagine finding out that your old liver, two of your close friends, along with other people on board a submarine that is stuck underwater who need some way to be safely brought to the surface. Imagine rescuing a young man who was kidnapped by his father turned traitor. Imagine trying to find that traitor and bring him to justice. Here's the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TaG9SDxwPBg

Gosh I'm not sure I want to be trapped on a submarine with my old liver. I mean, my liver has seen some action but it's not really that damaged....

George Pierson

You would not be trapped on the sub with your old liver. Your liver would be leading a team to go after the man who did it to you. Ever hear of the Paul Simon song "Still crazy after all these years"? Well in the song, he talks about how he met his old liver on the street one night. He also points out that his liver is a she. lol

George Pierson

At any rate, Ms. Ellis, as a woman, can you picture a a man doing everything that he can to rescue you, and your son, from someone hell bent to hurt you and everybody you care about?

Jody Ellis

How about a woman being the badass rescuing her family, instead of the standard sexist premise? Might make it more exciting.

Beth Fox Heisinger

Well said, Jody. ;)

George, great music video, but I have to talk about something else. I'm an avid soap opera/music fan with special needs who's seeking out a Chicago-based someone to see if she/he knows about pro-Bono, or nonprofitable organizations. I have 3 topics that are based on soap operas and music, and I'd love to share them with someone. If you know that person, will you please let me know? Thank you very much.
