Introduce Yourself : Author, Screenwriter, Poet by Shaun Jooste

I am the South African author of 3 published epic fantasy novels, The Celenic Earth Chronicles. I am busy writing a horror novel, "Silent Hill: Betrayal", for which I obtained permission from Konami and Ster-Kinekor Entertainment. It is not an adaption of any of the games or films, but rather my own story set in the titular town. I am also developing other book projects, namely: The Dreamweaver series (fantasy), The Heaven's Gate Murders (crime), Resilience Series (horror action based on Fallout 4), and Secret of the Hidden Banshee (fantasy). I have written a space travel sci fi script called "The Space Drifter". It was recommended by the judges of the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition, who said: "We thoroughly enjoyed working with your script. The story has solid bones and great potential." I am currently looking for representation for this script to be optioned or purchased. I am busy with other screenwriting projects, "The Janitor's Room" (thriller / horror) and "A darkness runs through it" (supernatural horror). These are self-assigned projects, and I am busy scouting for paid assignments I could work with. As a poet, I have written over 600 poems since high school years, having written some of them at the back of exam papers when I finished the exam early. I am planning to publish all these poems in one volume. My latest poem, "The Journey", obtained me several accolades: "Top 100 poems 2015", "2016 Elite Writer of the Year", and inclusion in the April 2016 "Contemporary Poetry Digest".
