The Art of Asking is just a great book on the creative life... or, get the short version from her awesome TED talk... And since I'm "bookish" and mystery-ish (in my TV writing, too), I'll give a plug to The Covenant by Jeff Crook. Just finished this slightly supernatural mystery, female ex-heroin addict protagonist who sees ghosts. Set in Memphis. I was immediately engaged and thought it was above average. Cheers to all!
