Thank you for your welcome and kind words. Amanda you asked what I like about makeup and effects, well from a very early age I loved film, how you create a time a place a moment and to make the story come alive. You need actors who believe in the roll and character and my job as a makeup artist /designer is to help the artist become that character when they look in the mirror they see the character not themselves so makeup and costume help bring to life for them and the audience the whole picture. So if its a fantasy character with prosthetics or a mother looking for her baby in the hot hostile location I love creating that characters looks for that moment of time. I love working on location and in places which can be challenging to do my work "I love a good challenge" so you asked about some of my favourite things I have worked on Well "The Dead" was a challenge shot in West Africa [Loved Ghana and was in Accra for 4 weeks ,and Burkina Faso for 3 months, Jeremiah ] the locations and people were wonderful but we did run into a few things which did make the filming of this life changing, Never Let Go is a new film out this year by Howard J Ford again filmed on location in a number of countries including Morocco , Spain , US and UK again the story is so compelling and you soon felt the anguish of the mothers fight for her child so showing that was our amazing lead Angela Dixon and of course the makeup. Hope that gives you an idea of my love of the film industry and all you creatives out there doing the best they can to bring stories alive.
