Acting : Does the UK use this sites... Hardly ever any job adverts by Mark Chapman

Hey, Mark... what are you looking for, buddy? Acting gigs?

Im in the uk and check the job section from time to time. Sadly at this point S32 is still building its name in the UK so its very hit and miss with regards to jobs. Film work in the UK is dominated by spotlight who I have found to be outdated and frankly a little elitist, they could use a little competition.

Always looking for acting work.....films mainly these days.

Mark the UK is rubbish when it comes to films etc. I live in the North East and can never get anything. I have an awesome film which we are working as hard as we can to get the funding and once we done I will most certainly be advertising on here as it is a great site.

Tony you right about Spotlight. I left spotlight a couple of year back. It is expensive and does not enhance you any more than places like here or starnow etc. I have had more work myself than I ever got through spotlight.

Hi Wayne, congrats on the movie. Couldn't agree with you more, much like you said Ive had more work from CCP and star now and through good old networking and hard work.

Hi Tony don't congrat me just yet, getting funding in UK is just as hard as finding work!! Getting all the right feedback though which is a start.

Thats true, Ive had a few jobs get called off because of funding issues. Still it sounds like your heading in the right direction.

We have tens of thousands of members from the UK. Getting them to participate on a more regular level does seem to be a challenge, no question.
