Pitch help

I wrote a 2 page pitch that sucked. My first time and I made all the classic mistakes. I'm not one who is blind to my mistakes. But now, I have rewritten the pitch 10 times and I like it. It tells my story well with more heart. My feedback is better but still passes. My gut and heart tell me the pitch is okay and I just haven't got the exec yet who would like my story. Do I keep altering the pitch or do I hold strong and trust the process that I will find the reader who "gets it"?

Becca-Chris M

That's tough. Maybe get feedback on it from others before you send it out again?

I'd say it's okay to keep tightening the pitch and you might think about reducing it to one page. A newcomer - and even us longer in the tooth are unlikely to be able to secure an agent first day outo go ahead and pitch. I doubt that a pitch actually can be copyright so don't worry about it.

Travis, do you think you'll change your pitch depending on who you're pitching to? You're welcome to e-mail your pitch to me and I'll give you some feed back on it. vincejeffers@msn.com

That's good advice.
