I'm not sure how valid my opinion is, as I'm fairly new to this site, but in that time I've been able to connect with many wonderful people who share my love for film and television all across the world and learn more about the entertainment industry. Hey Lowell. A little biased since I started the platform, but I can tell you personally I've gained my manager, 2 options, a sale for a script that's in development, 4 producing gigs and one acting job. So on a scale of 1 to 10...not bad. There have been literally tens of thousands of jobs landed here, hundreds of projects financed and launched and more success stories than we can count in our 5 year history. What I can say definitively is that no one has found success here being a passive participant. Like everything else in life, you have to work at it. To get a good jump on your networking, I would highly recommend uploading a profile picture, filling out your bio completely (with all appropriate media as well) and just jumping right in. The creatives here are as friendly and collaborative as they are talented.

I was asked to audition for a NY short right after posting my Felicia short on here but it was a time I couldnt. Thanks to you guys! Almost 200 people have commneted on my links and I got an actor for my dad's short on here and maybe the director too-just now we are considering maybe 5 from here! And my dad got a script contract from someone that friended me on here! In Cambodia!!! So there! You have to work at it and you better show your good stuff cause thats what people want to see!!!!

Welcome to Stage 32, Lowell!
Hello Kyle, Moon, Richard, Nastassia, and Jake, Thank you for the warm welcome, and thank you for those who talked a little about their experiences. Special thank you to Richard for the specific advice. I'm not one to be a passive participant. I will find a good photo, flesh out my bio/profile, and start getting to know more people. I have a lot of experience outside the IMDb type of projects. It is just a matter of finding projects inside the IMDb type on here that have a need I can fill and/or help them fill with people I've met. Persistancy by the truckload will probably be of help as well. Sincerely, Lowell
