There seems to be a hint of sour grapes in Scorsese's comments. He also seems to have forgotten that this is a business. While I agree that superhero movies are rarely in the same category as old-time classics, the studios are strictly in business to make money. His $50 million passion project "Silence" has bombed big-time while the $4.5 million film "Get Out" will dominate this weekend's boxoffice. Which would YOU green-light if you were a studio exec?
