Changing Times and Changing Fortunes, Martin Scorsese is spot on and all the major studio's know this, clearly Paramount is showing their hands in this New ERA...
There seems to be a hint of sour grapes in Scorsese's comments. He also seems to have forgotten that this is a business. While I agree that superhero movies are rarely in the same category as old-time classics, the studios are strictly in business to make money. His $50 million passion project "Silence" has bombed big-time while the $4.5 million film "Get Out" will dominate this weekend's boxoffice. Which would YOU green-light if you were a studio exec?
