I've been with Stage 32 for maybe 18 months to 2 years or so. I am a screenwriter/playwright/actor living in Laramie, Wyoming. Right now, I'm about to market a script I've been writing for the past few months, but I'm also going to crowdfund a Proof-of-Concept trailer for my gay romantic comedy FLYOVER COUNTRY over the summer.
My script is a valentine to Laramie, a town that most LGBTQ folks associate with violence and hate. This is in part my own attempt to rehabilitate that image and let queer people know the water's fine. While Laramie has other issues--the economy here needs a lot of love--it's a great place to live.
I also just joined the National New Play Network and have put some scripts up there. One I'm kind of proud of, is a "rehabilitation" of Shakespeare's THE TEMPEST. THE BLIZZARD takes the story and shears it of its colonialism.The protagonist is a Mexican bruja. Cast of thousands, but A LOT of fun.
