I am looking for a show runner interested in creating a faith based, but not "christian" sitcom. I need someone to put together, or help me put together a package for "Gene's Nightclub" that can be presented to the financiers currently interested in funding the pilot.
Show Premise
Meet 2017's Archie Bunker type. We aim to present a character exemplifying some of the worst characteristics we see in our society today and how rubbing up against others smooths his rougher edges.
Gene Anderson is the owner of a nightclub. He owes money to 2 ex wives and gangsters (Bad Guys)... His money making schemes routinely backfire and he does just about anything to get out of repaying the people he owes. He is rude, sarcastic, out spoken, and pretty dam nasty to his friends and family.
The show will be known for it's edgy humor, racial gags and catchphrases.
The show is a sitcom with famous musical acts each week. They are deemed to be booked at the club.
Waitress: Hey the Dog Threw up on the Floor and cat ate it.
Gene: When I throw up, as long as you don't eat it, we'll be ok.
