I do like the choice of shooting in black and white. The main thing that threw me off about the film is how clean everyone was, especially Clarie. If the zombie apocalypse happened over a year ago, I would think that things would be a little grungier (the use of battery operated lanterns implies to me that there was little or no power). And for some reason the word "zombie" kept throwing me off, it could just be how many zombie properties don't say the word "zombie" like that sort of horror genre just doesn't exist in their world. I like the sound design also.
