Been sitting on my upgrade for awhile waiting on the Samsung Galaxy S8+ to come out. It has 4k cenimatic capabilities which is now industry standard. Can't wait!

Robert Franklin exactly! 80 bucks out the door with upgrade eligibility. I think I will pull the trigger on the new wide-angle prime lense mentioned in the article as well!
Go grab the FilmicPro app! The article says it's better than what the S8+ has ... you can shoot in 4K as well with the app. FilmicPro for Andriod: http://www.filmicpro.com/apps/android/filmic-pro-android/
Lindbergh E Hollingsworth hso use this with my existing android without upgrade?
As long as you're on Android 5 OS. Hopefully soon the app will be modified to shoot Log or Flat for Andriod (at present the Log / Flat feature is only available for iOS)
I'm not sure I know what "log or flat" means. I have a galaxy note 4 for last 2 years but going to upgrade to the S8+.
Here's a link to a little video on log / flat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iilou58SyZY
Okay I see what you mean. So what app. Or software is best for post-production?
HitFilm Express is free for editing, very robust, not great with fixing audio (Hitfilm.com); I'm a Premiere Pro user.
Ok, Lindbergh, pretty amazing videos on filmic site. Are you using a Beastgrip.com pro rig as well?
Nope. I'm using the iOgrapher case, and picked up a wide angle lens, a telephoto lens and anamorphic lens; then added a Rode mic (perfect for up to 8ft). This is my go to rig for grabbing something quick, or if an actor needs to put themselves on tape for submission. If it's anything beyond this I'll reach out to a few DPs and Sound crews I know. Pretty cool stuff you got going on there. I'm pretty pumped about getting this new toy. Will definitely be using the filmic and the hitfilm for editing. Does it allow you to add music to it as well?
Yes! I'll be doing some test shoots in the coming day with my iPhone and Filmic Pro as I'm still getting the hang of it.
Guess what guys? London Film School recently had a days seminar on how to make a film with the latest mobiles. Emotion is not dependant on expensive cameras!
Just wanted to say hello to you Debbie, have a good night.
