Hello to everyone. I'm a documentary film director, just finished my fist documentary "Dance Day". I'm interested in finding the best place to study filmmaking (directing, documentary) in USA. My first profession is actress, and now I work as an actress at the theatre (Russia); thats why I want to study in USA at most two years, and then to proceed my thware work. I'll be glad to have any info about best American film schools and scholarsips. My profile on FB - https://www.facebook.com/sonya.ni.9 Thank you!

Welcome, Sofia! USC, AFI, NYU and UCLA have all been in the top five film schools in the USA for several years. You may find the following helpful in your search: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/lists/top-25-american-film-schools-2017-1029477/item/top-25-film-schools-nyu-1029491

For shorter periods I can recommend Maine Media Workshops. They're all current industry working professionals not just teachers - https://www.mainemedia.edu/workshops/filmmaking
Thanks, Ken. Yes, I'm in search of the summer programs as well.
It's a good workshop they have in Maine. I have taught students from USC, NYU and AFI, I would recommend Maine. Gets cold there though.
